Authentic Deep Post GD Sound
I have not been impressed with most post GD lineups, but this recent PL&F lineup (and Ratdog's recent lineup) is the most authentic, least contrived, loving, deep, juicy, mind blowing post GD jamming I have heard. I appreciate the slide and nonoverbearing guitar work. Very deep and smooth sound evoking times and emotions past. A 5 of 5 for post GD music. Phyched to listen to more recent PL&F releases and hope they will visit the PNWest soon. I will be there, perhaps with tears in my eyes as the beauty of the music takes me for a ride. Big thanks PL&F for the releases and to archive as always.

Thanks For The Birthday Present, Phil!
I caught this show live as a "To: Me, From: Me" birthday gift. The weather outside was cold and blustery, but the music inside was warm and toasty. Great show, great songs, great band, great vibe, great sound, great venue (downtown Newark location and overzealous ushers notwithstanding). Soundboard sounds good like it should. Whipping-out "The Godfather" ("Big Brown") for "Caution:..." was a nice surprise. Sless was awesome and Larry is a nice addition to the band....dualing pedal-steels! Thanks for making my 42nd Birthday the most memorable in recent memory! Unfortunatelyu, I didn't get my most requested B'day wish: "Unbroken Chain" , LOL!

Thank you
Thank you Phil!!! Listening to this now. WOW! I wish I could have been on the eastcoast in the cold outside to been blasted with the heat of the music each and everynight inside! Thanks again for having Barry and Mookie play in the Band. I have been a fan of DNB for close to 10 years now :) This band has so much chemistry! Althea is smokin' now and sweet solo's by Larry Cambell. Happy Holidays to you, your Family and all Band members past and present and their families! Peace, joe aka wharfratjoe

there is lotsa love in the phil zone
I think Chris sounds much more at home with PLaF in this recording than last winter's run. Seems to be feeling more and reading less. The band is tight, and Phil's playing is as good as ever. Phil - if you (or your crew) are listening - please release an official sounboard of the Buffalo show, and please keep playing music.

Never Let Me Down
Phil has consistently represented the fans and has always been appreciative of our efforts to travel sometimes great distances to dance and celebrate. His generosity in giving out SBDs of the best Phil shows is one more testament to how great a dude he is. LONG LIVE THIS MUSIC!

Good On Ya for this, and MAD MAD Thanks! The sound is clear and Oh So like bein' there! I started listening to the show, and walked into the kitchen. When I came back in the room my sun conure Jack was bouncing bouncing listening to the Jam>Scarlet! We rocked my husband out during his funeral last spring to the strains of "I Know You Ryder" (Dick's Picks #8) and this version is a nice change. Thank You SO much Phil. Namaste, Ginger

Sweet
I take this Soundboard release for all to enjoy as a personal "F*** you" from Phil to various other GD members concerning the recent events here at LMA. Anyways, obviously steller sound with this soundboard. The show is pretty rocking. I love how diverse Larry Campbell is. I love his contribution to Althea, not to mention Chris on vocals. Of course, Sless and Molo are right on. I can't wait till new years. The Lesh-Molo-Sless-Siegal-Campbell combo will be a-rocking. Oh yeah, Phil is all over the place on this show. Phil for president. Not to start anything, but it's funny how Bobby is concerned about making money from the soundboards when Lesh is all for the fans enjoying the music for free. Does this have anything to do with the success of Ratdog (or lack thereof). BTW, I love Bobby...but his recent interview makes me a little upset.

A Beautiful Thing!
Phil's statement has summed up the generosity of the man, and the reflected the original aims of the band. We should truly thank him for his intervention in the matter of downloading; for releasing this show as another sign of faith; and for keeping up with the great music. Living in the UK, I can't get to see these shows easily, so this is the next best thing. Oh yeah! Great to see Larry Campbell in the band: an inventive multi-instrumentalist who should bring a whole of host of different colours to the music, as he did when I saw him in Bob Dylan's band on many occasions.

At least we know that Phil wasn't responsible for last week's Grateful Dead blackout on the Archive. He continues to offer yet another high quality sound board tape for free. Some nice music here too. Well worth a listen. Download it and share with phans who don't have computers...

Phil's the man!
Damn!! I thought the audience recording was pretty tasty. This soundboard blows that one clear out of the water. This is the best show I've heard so far from a pretty hot tour. The more I hear Larry Campbell, the more impressed I am. This is some of the best Dead music I've heard since the big guy checked out. Phil's obviously got his groove on at this show. He's smokin! Thank you Phil for allowing this board source to be uploaded. You are THE MAN!!

Thank you Phil
Thanks Phil for continuing to make such amazing music and for sharing the SBD's with us.
Yet another spectacular SBD from Phil. Was a little tentative going into this show as I am a big Jimmy Herring fan but my fears were put to rest right out of the gate. Sounds even better sitting at home with a fire balzing! Sless's playing is very Jerry-esque and tasteful, Larry played fiddle on the Other One and it WORKED! Phil bombs galore . . . first time I ever saw Phil play a 4 string, a highlight for sure. Trully amazing 2nd set, SMOKIN truckin (seriously - possibly best post-jerry I've heard). Plsu listening to the show now I don't have to watch CR staring quizically at the teleprompter all night on just about every song. Nonetheless, his voice fit in very well, especially on caution and the bluesier tunes. Only lowlight was the encore was a bit of a snoozer.
